This painting is the wonderful combination of a simple black and white model complimented by the setting sun.

The background setting sun was finished after the model. I have a tendency of bringing a beautiful model to life first, then figuring out the best way to compliment her. This model was no different. She reminded me of someone lifting themselves from a body of water, with her suit, her wet hair and her expression. Because of her color tone, I felt a sunset was the most appropriate thing for her.

This piece will make you feel the kiss of the hot sun and put you to rest, just as a long relaxing day on the beach would.
