Chama translates to flame in Portuguese. In context however, it is the internal flame that drives us.

This piece was inspired by the beautiful cultures and people of Brazil. There are many indigenous populations that still practice their traditional ways, and I wanted to capture this. She Is adorned with native flowers which help emphasize the model’s beauty. I call it chama because of the strength, confidence and presence she has. All of this is caught in her expression. The internal flame.

I am extremely proud of this painting, she brings her own flame wherever she is present.
