Vivid is defined as producing powerful feelings or strong mental images. Vivid is also used to describe the intensity of color. I created this piece with strong contrasts between the black and white model and the vivid reflection in her sunglasses.
This work took 4 months to create. I started the project before the beginning of fire season and found time when I had available to keep adding layers.  This is piece number 4 in the “Reflection” theme. I wanted this piece to framed a step back from the other works in the collection. This work displays more of the model and has a smaller, but not less important, surface area of color. The reflection is used to create balance in the picture by adding  “vivid” to offset the intense black and white.

 This work is ment to be given space and as the audience gets closer, our eyes begin to search for detail instead of seeing the image as a whole. Give this piece the room it requires.
