This is one of my favorite works. It is low-key and easy to overlook. However, if it catches your eye, it has a lot to say.
This piece was created from using a photo of vegetation. I cropped the image and kept messing with the color schemes. I started with black and white, vivid, cooled it down and warmed it up, until finally I just took the negative of the original. Bang, I had what I knew was in there.
This piece was created using a variety of different brush techniques and palette knife work. This piece is a favorite amongst those of us who see it for more than just weeds, but who can appreciate the balance of the color work.
