Art Information

This work was inspired by a not-so-distant winter but where the leaves refused to give up. In the painting the view is distant, her expression feels distant and soon fall will be distant.  Her story is created by our memories, our own emotions and our own perspective.

This work was created using different techniques, brushes and pigments markers to blend or soften the model, to sharpen and separate the glasses and to ultimately create the foliage and mountains. Distant uses colors to catch the eye and the monochromatic color theme to keep it.

Distant reminds us how close we always are.
