Moutain Colors is another contrast painting. The black and white background of the mountains are complimented or contrasted (viewers choose) by the colorful trees used to balance the painting.
This piece was created only using a palette knife. The black and white mountains fade into the colorful fall trees and are reflected off of the lake below. I really enjoy these types of abstract landscapes.
The difficulty with these types of paintings is having the patience to allow the previous sessions paint to dry. They are a blast and having to wait to continue is a true test of self control.
