Newsletters

Hello there.

Happy May newsletter, even though it’s June …

So what happened this last month?

All pieces are back home safe and sound with currently nothing on display. I applied and sent pieces to be judged for entrance into the Durango Fall Art Festival in Colorado this September. The application process closes June 14 with the decisions on participants being made June 27. Invitation letters will be sent out July 1 for those selected. So fingers crossed!

I also decided it was time to reorganize my Instagram page. When I first started, I threw up whatever picture I had at the time. These were pictures on the floor, in my lap, in the kitchen, uncropped and full of glare. There’s a couple of my cat too. But, I have finally decided, for now, how I want them displayed. I will be cleaning up my social medias and uploading quality photos.

Soon, I will be adding another collections category to the art Gallery on the website (link). This will be of my newest figure, sunglass reflection, landscape/color/black and white theme. I’ll be sure to make a name that rolls a little smoother.

That’s kind of “the what’s happened and what’s happening” all in one.

Newest work

This piece is 10 x 20 inches and does not have a title yet, as it is not yet finished. This is a continuation of the new series, landscapes reflected in a figure’s glasses. I’ll have to find better words to explain the collection in the future. But, right now it’s straight to the point. You know I couldn’t continue the series without doing a wildland project. Progress is slow, as my free time now during  fire season is limited. So, with the limited time I have, it  has to be used correctly.

Looking into the future.

The next update will probably have the results of the art show. That will be something along with hopefully a finished product of my newest work in progress.

Thank you again for the read!
