It’s comforting to know that eventually the shift will end. This piece was a reproduction of a photo taken by one of my talented coworkers who always had a great eye for capturing moments. I was fortunate enough to get his permission to recreate it.
This piece is in black and white but does not lose any of its detail. I am really proud of every aspect of this painting. The trees in the background maintained all of their details and we can tell exactly what is happening based on the positions and postures of the crew members captured.
This photo was taken at the end of a night shift just as the sun was coming up. Everyone is bundled up and the sigh of relief is evident on each of them.
